The Old Governor's Mansion is one of Frankfort's strongest historic stops, a federal-style residence used by Kentucky governors from 1798 to 1914. Seven U.S. presidents visited the house, and it remains part of Kentucky's official political life as the lieutenant governor's residence.
It sits close to the Old State Capitol, so it is easy to fold into a walk through Frankfort's compact historic core.
