A turreted Queen Anne house on Crockett Street, dating from the late nineteenth century and now used as an event venue. The exterior is the main attraction — the wraparound porch, the spire, and the shingle work are all original. Not generally open to the public, but easy to see from the street if you are walking around the south side of downtown.
Ogilvie-Wiener Mansion
A story
Built in 1899 as a Victorian residence, the house has been a supper club, a gay bar called the Glass Hat, and a filming location for HBO's True Blood — playing the home of the vampire Sophie-Anne Leclerq. It is one of the more unusual second acts in the city's stock of historic buildings.
