A local-history museum housed in one of the oldest brick buildings in Shreveport, dating to 1866. The collection is the kind of small, eccentric assembly that bigger museums no longer attempt — Confederate uniforms, Caddo pottery, oil-boom artefacts, and the day-to-day debris of nineteenth-century river-port life.
Best for a half-hour if you are wandering downtown. Hours are limited; check ahead.
