Cranesville Historic District preserves the company town landscape around Crane & Company, the paper maker long tied to Dalton. The industrial buildings near the Housatonic are not all easy to see, but Main Street still gives you the 1816 Zenas Crane house and later executive homes, with worker housing spread along nearby streets south of the river.
