A Santa Fe institution since 1953, set in a rambling 1692 hacienda half a block from the Plaza. The menu is short and unchanged: enchiladas, tacos, burritos, posole, and the legendary mocha cake. The red chile is the thing to order, but Christmas (red and green together) is the New Mexican answer to "either / or."
Queue starts at noon. Lunch only at peak season; dinner expands in summer. The garden patio is the place to sit. Reservations only for parties of six or more.
