Eating Out

Christiansted has the best dining on the island, concentrated around the waterfront and the historic district. The local cuisine blends West Indian, American, and traces of Danish influence — fish is always good, and the johnnycake (fried dough) is the ubiquitous street snack. Several restaurants anchor the Boardwalk, the pedestrian strip along the harbor, while others are tucked into the courtyards of old Danish warehouses.
