The Museo del Hombre Chaqueño is the province's anthropological museum and a useful introduction to the human geography of the Gran Chaco. Three sections cover, in turn, the indigenous peoples of the region — Wichí, Qom (Toba), Mocoví, with collections of weaving, basketry and ceramics — the colonial and criollo settlers, and the European immigration of the late 19th and early 20th century that built modern Resistencia.
The displays are old-fashioned and the labels are in Spanish only, but the material is unusual and well worth an hour. The small gift shop sells Wichí weaving direct from the artists.
