The province of Jujuy rewards those willing to get off the main roads. The city itself has a handsome colonial centre worth a morning, but the real draw is the landscape beyond: the polychrome canyon of the Quebrada de Humahuaca to the north, the surreal salt flats to the west, and the cloud forest slopes on the road south toward Salta.
