A statue of Christ on a low hill behind the town centre, reached by a flight of about two hundred concrete steps from the avenue at its base. The climb takes ten minutes and the reward is the best view in Guaratuba — the long central beach to one side, the entrance of the bay to the other, and the Serra do Mar rising out of the forest inland.
Best at the end of the day, when the light is good for photographs and the heat has gone out of the climb.
