Indian fine-dining restaurant in a colonial-era house

A well-regarded Indian restaurant on Sheriff Street serving North Indian classics — tandoori meats, butter chicken, dhal, biryani, naan from the clay oven — in a comfortable air-conditioned dining room. The chefs are Indian and the cooking is closer to subcontinental restaurant Indian than the Indo-Guyanese roti shops elsewhere in the city.

Prices are higher than the local average but still reasonable. A good choice if you want a change from Creole cooking, or to compare with the Indo-Guyanese versions of similar dishes.
