Eating Out

Georgetown's food scene reflects the country's plural population — Indo-Guyanese curries and roti, African-Guyanese pepperpot and metemgee, Chinese restaurants brought by indentured labourers in the nineteenth century, plus a growing number of restaurants riding the oil-boom wealth. Eat in the cool of the evening; lunch is for cookshops and food courts.
