Georgetown's shopping is centred on the markets — Stabroek and Bourda — plus a string of Indian-owned fabric and gold shops along Regent Street and Robb Street. The city is also a useful place to pick up Amerindian handicrafts before heading into the interior, or to bring back a bottle of El Dorado rum.
