The bar at Duke Lodge, a small heritage hotel on Duke Street in Kingston, is a quiet civilised place for a drink. The setting — a restored colonial wooden house with a verandah — is among the more atmospheric in the city, and the bartenders mix proper rum cocktails. Less raucous than the Sheriff Street bars, more relaxed than the formal hotel bars.
Good for a quiet evening drink or a meeting. Often used by visiting business people and aid workers. Wine selection is short but the local rums are excellent.
