A Middle Street institution, the Sidewalk Cafe is the closest thing Georgetown has to a dedicated jazz and live-music venue. Local musicians play several nights a week, the cocktail menu is more imaginative than most in the city, and the food — grilled fish, salads, snacks — is decent.
The room is small and gets busy when the music starts. Worth checking the programme in advance — when a strong local act is on, it is one of the most enjoyable evenings in town.
