The Spanish cathedral on the Plaza de Armas, begun in 1559 on the site of the Inca Kiswarkancha palace and using stones from the dismantled fortress of Sacsayhuamán. One of the great colonial repositories in Peru, with a remarkable collection of Cuzco School paintings — including a famous Last Supper in which the central dish is a roast guinea pig. Entry requires the Boleto Religioso; early morning is for worshippers, the rest of the day for visitors.
