The Centro de Textiles Tradicionales del Cusco has a small but worthwhile museum devoted to Quechua and Andean weaving. Displays explain traditional textile techniques, natural dyes, and the cultural role of cloth in highland communities, making it a useful stop before visiting markets or weaving villages in the Sacred Valley.
The attached shop sells work by regional weavers. Prices are higher than the synthetic souvenirs found around the city, but the quality is much better and purchases support the people who make the textiles.
