Nguuni Sanctuary is a small wildlife reserve near Bamburi, easier and softer than a proper safari but still a welcome green break from Mombasa's heat and traffic. Giraffes are the main draw, along with antelope, birds, picnic spots, and open views that catch good late-afternoon light.
It works best as a relaxed outing from the north coast beaches or as a family stop when Haller Park feels too structured. Go near sunset if you can, bring insect repellent, and do not expect the scale or drama of Kenya's national parks.
