Tasga occupies the southern hill, looking back across the saddle at Khiber. It has a similar feel — whitewashed houses, blue-painted doors, swifts in the alleys — but feels slightly quieter and is the side most visitors first walk through after the central square. The terrace at the upper edge of Tasga gives the classic postcard view of the zaouia framed by the green slopes of Mount Zerhoun behind. Most of the town's small guesthouses cluster on this side, often in restored merchants' houses with rooftop terraces of their own.
