Andalusian Garden

Formal 17th-century garden of orange trees and roses inside the Kasbah

A walled garden inside the Kasbah des Oudaya, planted in the style brought over by Andalusian refugees in the 17th century: symmetrical beds of roses, orange trees, and jasmine around a central path. It is quiet, shaded, and one of the most calming spots in Rabat. Adjacent to the Oudayas Museum; entrance included with museum ticket. The Café Maure at the garden's northern edge serves mint tea on a terrace overlooking the Bou Regreg estuary.
