The walled 12th-century citadel at the northern edge of the old city, where the Bou Regreg meets the Atlantic. Narrow lanes painted blue and white descend from the massive Almohad gate. Inside the walls: an Andalusian garden, a small ethnographic museum (10 dirham), and the Café Maure — a terrace with mint tea above the river. Free to enter.
