The Anhui Celebrities Museum is a useful stop if Hefei feels short on personality at street level. Its exhibits introduce historical figures connected to Anhui, from imperial-era officials and scholars to modern political and cultural names.
It is not as essential as the Anhui Museum, but it fills in the province's human story and is especially helpful if you are travelling onward through Anhui. The museum sits out in Binhu New District, so combine it with nearby civic museums or parks rather than crossing town for it alone.
