Jinghai Temple Museum is a small but historically charged Nanjing stop. The temple is associated with Zheng He's maritime world and, more darkly, with negotiations around the Treaty of Nanking, making it a place where imperial ambition and imperial humiliation sit uncomfortably close.
It is best for travelers who already have the main Nanjing sights covered and want sharper historical context. The museum is modest, but the story is not: river, empire, foreign pressure, and memory all pass through this small site.
