Tianjin Confucian Temple is an early Qing dynasty complex in the old city, built around a hall honouring Confucius and smaller halls used for prayer. It is a quieter stop than nearby Ancient Culture Street, but useful if you want to see the older civic and scholarly side of Tianjin.
