Wushan Square and Wushan Hill form one of Hangzhou's livelier old-city areas, close to Hefang Street and the southern side of West Lake. The square is busy, but the hill paths behind it quickly feel greener and quieter.
On a clear day the climb gives good views over the city and lake. The modernized pagoda has an elevator and open-air tea house, making this an easy stop to combine with the surrounding historic streets.
