Bade Ganeshji Ka Mandir sits close to Ujjain's great Mahakaleshwar Temple and is an easy addition to the city's pilgrimage circuit. The temple is known for its large image of Ganesh, and the atmosphere is busiest when devotees are moving between the nearby shrines and ghats.
This is not a place to rush through with a checklist. Visit as part of a slow walk around the old sacred core, where small shrines, flower sellers, bells, and lanes matter almost as much as the headline monuments.
