Nareli Jain Temple is a modern temple complex on the outskirts of Ajmer, quite different in mood from the city's dense old lanes and dargah area. Its pale stone, open terraces, and hillside setting make it a calm architectural stop rather than a crowded pilgrimage crush.
The main temple is the easiest part to visit, but the surrounding hill shrines add the sense of scale. Go by taxi or auto-rickshaw, and try for early morning or late afternoon when the marble is less glaring and the heat is kinder.
