J&J Coffee sits down a side street near Shigaetop in Seongnamdong, and it is the best cafe in Ulsan. The interior is thoughtfully designed — exposed brick, warm lighting, and the kind of attention to detail that makes you want to stay longer than you intended. The drinks are excellent, the staff are friendly toward non-Korean speakers, and the music is good.
It is the kind of place that would fit comfortably in Seoul's Hongdae district but happens to be here, in an industrial city in the southeast. Go on a weekday afternoon when you can actually get a seat. The weekend crowd can make it feel cramped. Prices are standard for Korean specialty coffee — expect around 5,000-6,500 won for a well-made flat white.
