Ulsan's main shopping area is Samsandong, where the Lotte and Hyundai department stores anchor a cluster of shops and the covered shopping street runs through Seongnamdong. For local colour over international brands, Sinjeong Market in Nam-gu is the best of the traditional markets — fresh produce, dried fish, and all the staples of Korean market life. E-Mart and Homeplus hypermarkets are scattered around the city for everyday shopping. Electronics are available throughout, though prices are rarely better than Seoul's Yongsan district.
