Mount Gaji is one of the key peaks of the Yeongnam Alps, the mountain group west of Ulsan known for rocky ridges, autumn grasses, and serious day hikes. It gives Ulsan a genuine mountain counterpart to its industrial coast.
Trails can be steep and weather on the ridge changes quickly, so treat it as a real hike. Start early, bring layers, and check transport back from the trailhead before setting out.
