Bangka Park is the open plaza directly in front of Longshan Temple, a gathering place that captures the texture of old Wanhua. By day it is full of elderly residents playing chess and chatting; in the evening a long ribbon of blue LED lighting, the 'Bangka Blue', is switched on along the canopy, a small public-art touch that has become a local landmark.
