Taoyuan's attractions are scattered across several districts. Most visitors head to Daxi for the old street and the Chiang Kai-shek memorial sites. The city also has a few good temples, a gateway to the river gorge country to the south, and the somewhat surreal Cihu park with its collection of retired statues.
