Phra Chedi Suriyothai is a memorial stupa on the western side of Ayutthaya, traditionally linked to Queen Suriyothai and the wars between Ayutthaya and Burma. Its clean white form and gilded top make it visually distinct from the brick temple ruins that dominate the historical park.
The chedi is best seen as part of a wider loop outside the central island's most famous temples. It adds a royal and legendary chapter to Ayutthaya's story, and the quieter setting helps after the crowds at Wat Phra Si Sanphet and Wat Mahathat.
