Wat Borom Phuttharam

Wat Borom Phuttharam is a late Ayutthaya-period temple near the old southern city wall. It was built during the reign of King Phetracha and became known for the yellow glazed roof tiles that once covered its buildings.

The temple is a quieter stop than Ayutthaya's headline ruins, but it helps fill in the city's royal and religious history. Its surviving structures are best seen as part of a wider circuit around the central island.
