Wat Phra Non is a quieter ruin in the Sukhothai orbit, named for a reclining Buddha that once dominated the temple. Today the remains are fragmentary, but the layout still makes the image legible: a long viharn, brick bases, and the sense of a sacred figure stretched across the space rather than seated in formal meditation.
It is not one of Sukhothai's essential first stops, and that is part of the reason to go if you have time. After the central monuments, smaller temples like Wat Phra Non let you see the old city as a landscape of repeated devotion rather than a checklist of star ruins. Go by bicycle and fold it into a wider circuit.
