Wat Tra Phang Thong Lang is a Sukhothai temple ruin east of the old city gate. Its main draw is a square brick mondop with surviving stucco work, giving a close look at the decorative detail that once covered many of the historic park's monuments.
It works best as part of a bicycle circuit around the quieter eastern side of old Sukhothai, especially after seeing the central temples.
