Air Force Museum

Hanoi aviation museum with aircraft, engines, uniforms, and Vietnam War-era air-force displays.

Hanoi's Air Force Museum, formally the Vietnam People's Air Force Museum, sits by the old Bach Mai airfield and tells the story of Vietnamese military aviation from the 1950s onward. The outdoor display is the draw: MiGs, helicopters, transport aircraft, and captured or recovered equipment give the place a hardware-heavy immediacy.

Inside, the exhibits lean into uniforms, engines, pilots, and the air war over North Vietnam. It is not as polished as Hanoi's central museums, and the English labelling can be uneven, but aviation and military-history travellers will find it much more rewarding than its low profile suggests.
