Kim Lien Shrine

Kim Lien Shrine is one of Hanoi's old guardian temples, dedicated to Cao Son Dai Vuong, a mountain deity in Vietnamese tradition. It sits south of the old imperial city and is tied to the older sacred geography of Thang Long.

The shrine is a quieter stop than Hanoi's best-known temples, but it rewards travelers interested in local worship and the layers of legend behind the city.
