Laguna Lookout sits at the top of Noosa Hill, on the inland side of the town, with a wide view across Noosa Sound, the river mouth, and the dense national park canopy that wraps the headland. Drive up via Viewland Drive or walk the short, steep track from Noosa Junction.
The view is at its best in the late afternoon, when the light hits the curve of Main Beach and the sound turns gold. There is a small picnic shelter, a couple of benches, and almost nothing else: this is one of those Australian lookouts that takes care of itself. A short loop walk through the surrounding scrub gives a sense of how thickly forested Noosa's hill country really is.
