Little Cove

Little Cove is the small, almost circular bay tucked just east of Main Beach, between the surf club and the entrance to Noosa National Park. The cove is sheltered by the same headland that protects Main Beach, but it is smaller, quieter, and feels a step removed from the busiest part of town.

It is the standard local spot for a first surf lesson, a swim with kids, or a snorkel — there are reefs immediately offshore that hold a surprising amount of fish life. Park at the end of Park Road or walk through from Hastings Street. The light here at sunrise, when the rocks are still in shadow and the water is glassy, is exceptional.
