Mount Brown Lookout is the simple high point above York, reached by Pioneer Drive within a few minutes of the town centre. At 342 metres above sea level, it gives a broad view over the Avon Valley, the historic town grid, surrounding farmland, and the low Western Australian hills beyond.
It is an easy add-on to a York visit rather than a destination in itself. Go early or late for softer light, take the picnic option if the weather is kind, and use the lookout to understand how the town sits in the valley before walking Avon Terrace below.
