Nieuwpoort Lighthouse stands near the harbour mouth where the town opens to the North Sea. The current tower is modern by Belgian coastal standards, but the lighthouse tradition here is older, tied to the port, fishing, and the shifting line between beach, breakwater, and navigation channel.
It is best seen as part of a walk along the harbour and staketsel rather than as a standalone destination. The appeal is the whole maritime edge: wind, gulls, boats, dunes, and the clean vertical marker of the tower.
