A small Ottoman-era village mosque about 4 km west of central Zenica, on the slopes above the Bosna. It belongs to a regional tradition of wooden mosques with low timbered domes — a vernacular response to the limestone and forest of central Bosnia rather than the imperial style of Istanbul.
Reaching it involves a steep drive or a brisk walk uphill. The setting, in a small farming village with views back over the city, is the reason to come; the building itself is open by arrangement with the local imam.
