Things to Do

Čiovo is not a sight-heavy island — it rewards slow travel: walking coastal paths, poking around villages, and spending long afternoons in the water. The main activity is simply being here, but there are a few places worth seeking out beyond the beaches.

The south coast coastal path is the island's best walk, linking Okrug Gornji to a series of hidden coves that are unreachable by road. Hiring a small boat for the day opens up the same coastline from the water — no licence required for smaller engines, and the coves between Okrug Gornji and the western tip are some of the best snorkelling in the area. The village of Žedno up on the ridge makes for a good morning walk from the coast, rewarded with views of both sides of the island and the Dalmatian mainland beyond.
