The Church of Saints Eusebius and Polion stands on Vinkovci's central square, a dignified late-Baroque building that serves as the architectural anchor of the town centre. The church is dedicated to two Christian martyrs from ancient Cibalae who were executed in 304 AD during the Diocletian persecutions. Their relics are preserved here, connecting the modern church to the Roman city that preceded the Slavonian town.
The interior is well-maintained and contains good examples of Central European ecclesiastical furnishings from the 18th and 19th centuries. The church is an active parish rather than a museum, and the square outside is the natural gathering point of Vinkovci life — market days, the opening ceremonies of the Vinkovačke Jeseni festival, and weekend promenades all happen here.
