Brabrand Lake is one of Aarhus's most useful green escapes, stretching west of the city with reed beds, open water, and a well-used path network. It is a favourite for cyclists, runners, birdwatchers, and anyone who wants a flat walk with a little space around it.
The lake is not dramatic in the way Moesgaard or the coast can be, but it shows the everyday outdoor life of Aarhus very well. Rent a bike or use it as a slow half-day when the city centre starts to feel too tidy.
