Moesgaard Landscape

The Moesgaard landscape spreads south of Aarhus between the Moesgaard Museum, forest, fields, and the coast. Its main draw is the Prehistoric Trail, a marked walk with reconstructed Stone Age, Iron Age, and Viking Age houses, tombs, runestones, and other outdoor history displays.

It works well before or after the museum, but it is not only an extension of the galleries. The walk down toward the beach gives a good mix of archaeology and coastal nature, especially in spring and summer when the woods and open fields are at their best.
