Aquamotion is the largest alpine water and spa complex in Europe, opened in 2015 between Courchevel 1650 and Courchevel Village. It has indoor and outdoor heated pools, a wave pool, water slides, a surf simulator, a climbing wall, and a serious spa with steam rooms, saunas, and treatments.
It is a useful answer to the question of what to do with non-skiing days or with children. Day passes are not cheap, but a few hours here, especially in poor weather, beat sitting in a chalet. The outdoor pool in winter — warm water, snow on the surrounding banks, mountain backdrop — is the signature image.
