The Sommet de la Saulire is the high point on the ridge between Courchevel and Méribel, reached by the Saulire Express cable car from the top of Courchevel 1850. From the summit at 2,738 metres you can see across the Tarentaise and into the Vanoise National Park, with Mont Blanc visible to the north on a clear day.
In winter this is the gateway to some of the toughest skiing in the Trois Vallées — the runs down the Combe de la Saulire and the Grand Couloir are properly steep and unforgiving. In summer the cable car keeps running for walkers, and a network of marked trails drops down towards both valleys.
