Oberkirche St. Nikolai is the main medieval church in Cottbus and one of the most prominent landmarks in Lower Lusatia. Much of the building survived from the Middle Ages, though the spire has been repaired and renewed.
The tower is open to visitors, giving a broad view over the city. The church is also known locally for its acoustics and is used for concerts.
