The Volkswagen Arena is the home ground of VfL Wolfsburg, the city's Bundesliga club and one of the more successful corporate-backed clubs in German football. VfL won the league in 2009, and their women's team has been a dominant force in the women's Bundesliga and Champions League for over a decade.
The stadium holds around 30,000 and sits at the eastern edge of the Allerpark. A matchday is the most genuinely local thing to do in Wolfsburg, and the women's team in particular plays consistently excellent football against the best opposition in Europe.
